Purpose

The purpose of the program is to provide teaching and promote high-level research in order to graduate executives who will have the skills: a) to assume administrative positions in Greek sports and sports tourism b) to conduct research on issues related to sports management and sports tourism. In this direction, the MSc will be connected to the Laboratory of "Sports Management, Tourism and Recreation" founded in 2017 at the Department of Physical Education of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Specific objectives of the MSc are the connection with municipal, state and private sports bodies in Greece and abroad in order to connect the university with society and the labor market for the benefit of postgraduate students and teachers. This link will also create conditions for applied research.

Finally, through the MSc, the aim is to develop cooperation networks with departments of universities abroad that offer similar programs.
