The duration of the Program is 3 (three) semesters of full study. The maximum time allowed to complete the studies is six (6) semesters. The CPS is responsible for examining applications for the extension of this time in special cases.
In accordance with paragraph 2 of article 33 of Law 4485/2017 (114 A), working graduate students are provided with the possibility of part-time study for working students, if they actually work at least 20 hours a week. In this case, the duration cannot exceed twice the duration of the normal course of study.
Postgraduate students may also be granted, upon submission of a relevant application, a temporary suspension of studies, which may not exceed two (2) consecutive semesters. During the suspension, the graduate student loses his/her student status. The time of the suspension does not count towards the maximum duration of regular studies.
It is possible only in exceptional cases to grant an extension of studies following a well justified decision of the CPS and for reasons corresponding to the extremely serious cases that justify partial study.
Matters of re-examination in due courses are decided by the CPS, which decides on the conditions of the emaminations and the reasons for deletion and includes them in the relevant Postgraduate Studies Regulations. If the graduate student fails the examination of a course or courses and is considered by the relevant Graduate Studies Regulation to have not successfully completed the program, he/she is examined, following his/her application, by a three-member committee of Teaching Staff of the School, who have the same or related subject matter as the course being examined and are designated by the Department Assembly. The person in charge of the examination is excluded from the committee.
